About Traceroute

• Traceroute shows the network path packets take to reach a destination
• Each hop represents a router or gateway along the path
• RTT (Round Trip Time) shows how long it takes packets to reach each hop
• Timeouts (*) indicate routers that don't respond to probes
• Useful for diagnosing network latency and routing issues
